Tonight I was reminded why I like driving people around Park City. Typcially, on weekends I get a lot of difficult personalities in the car who are selfish and disrespectful to me and others in and out of the vehicle. Tonight, every ride was so willing to share rides, meet the other people, exchange phone numbers, and thank each other for the opportunity to ride together.

Maybe it sounds dumb but when you have people in the car who are difficult and only think of themselves, I look forward to that moment after I drop them off to see if I can find a friendlier ride. Honestly, my favorite rides are people who love to share stories about themselves and have a two-sided conversation.

So keep it in mind the next time you get a taxi ride in Park City, please be respectful because for every 1 cool ride, there’s generally 2 difficult rides. On the flip side, my patience is getting better …
