Long known as one of the best live acts in the business, BoDeans continue to tour year round and continue to deliver amazing, high-energy performances. “I realized some time ago that the key to the BoDeans identity is the fans’ connection to our music–nowhere is that more evident or rewarding as when we come together–live. We love to connect with the fans who have supported us for so long and who have brought us so much inspiration,” says Kurt Neumann, the band’s founder and frontman. “We will continue to play as long as they continue to come out and sing along.”
Chart topping songs like “Fadeaway,” “Only Love,” and “Dreams” won them Rolling Stone‘s readers poll for Best New American Band in 1987, and they were part of a small contingent of bands that inspired a new radio format known as Adult Alternative, Album Rock-Triple A. Their reputation for delivering a dynamic live show garnered support slots with U2/Joshua Tree Tour, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, George Thorogood, The Pretenders, David Bowie, and appearances at Farm Aid, Summerfest, and ACL, among others. They’ve been featured on SNL, Letterman, Today, Imus, CNN, ESPN, and many more.
In the nearly 30 years that followed, the band released several albums which embody multiple more songs played heavily at radio, in TV shows, and movies, and defined a sound that a generation embraced–songs like “Good Things,” “You Don’t Get Much,” “Idaho,” “If It Makes You,” “Closer to Free,” “Stay,” “American,” and “All the World,” which was recently featured on CMT.
BoDeans now reside in a small group of bands that have managed to survive the ups and downs of the industry, remaining true to their sound and their style, for nearly 30 years. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has them permanently displayed as part of their Midwest Artists exhibit.
Summer 2013 marked the return of legendary drummer, Kenny Aronoff, who has played with the band both live and in the studio off and on for decades. Many of the band’s biggest hits feature Kenny on drums. The band has squeezed in studio time around their crazy touring schedule and are prepared to release the aptly titled, I Can’t Stop (F&A/MRI/RED) on April 21, 2015.

Although originally forming as a rock trio in 1995, New York's Coheed and Cambria officially took root in 2001, shedding their former name of Shabutie and embracing a fusion of progressive rock, emocore, and highly conceptual album themes. Vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez, guitarist Travis Stever, bassist Michael Todd, and drummer Joshua Eppard issued their group's full-length debut, 2002's The Second Stage Turbine Blade, on the Albany-based Equal Vision Records.

Big Brother and the Holding Company
Friday, October 16, 2015, 8:00 PM
Egyptian Theatre
328 Main Street, Park City, UT
Big Brother & The Holding Company first performed in the Haight Ashbury, San Francisco, in 1965.  After their appearance at The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, Janis Joplin quickly became a phenomenon, and Big Brother made a real contribution to Janis’ rise to international fame.  Big Brother’s classic 1968 album Cheap Thrills charted at #1 for eight weeks.
After Janis left the band in 1968, Big Brother continued to perform with a new female vocalist before disbanding in 1972.  Having reformed with the original four members in 1987, they have performed world wide in Germany, Greece, England, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Denmark, France, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, and throughout the United States.
In 2007 Big Brother joined “The Summer of Love 40th Anniversary Tour” with Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger Service, David & Linda LaFlamme (It’s A Beautiful Day) and the Grateful Dead’s Tom Constanten.  The next four years saw a continuation of this multi band tour teaming up with Canned Heat and Country Joe McDonald for “The Heroes of Woodstock 40th Anniversary Tour”.  This lineup performed at over 30 amphitheaters and sheds, including the original 1969 Woodstock site and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.
Big Brother carries on today with original members Peter Albin and Dave Getz, with Tom Finch and Tommy Odetto playing outstanding guitar.  The very talented Darby Gould (Jefferson Starship) fronts the band, singing all of the classic material made famous by Janis Joplin and Big Brother & the Holding Company.

I am Diania Turner and was born and raised in El Paso, Texas.  Though I will always love Texas, my heart is in Utah where I have lived for over almost 50 years.  In all of Utah, I love Park City the most because of its rich pioneer history, amazing locals and their wonderful live and let live attitude.  Acceptance and a friendly attitude  is what Park City offers and what I love.
