Music and Movement

Music and Movement is a lively and noisy hour aimed at toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers to explore a variety of musical instruments, dances, songs, and fantastic books. This program is designed to engage children and get them excited about music, improve their fine and gross motor skills through movement, and spark their creativity while supporting their early literacy development.

We invite young readers-in-training (ages 5-12) to improve their reading skills by reading to a therapy dog. Each 15-minutes session will include a child, parent or guardian, a dog handler and a licensed therapy dog. First come, first serve.

Philip Buller Exhibition at Julie Nester Gallery
10:30am – 6pm
Location: 1280 Iron Horse Drive

Philip Buller is a figurative painter who is known for his historic, interpretive paintings and unique surface texture. The paintings in this exhibition are inspired by images from the early days of photography; the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. The artist has manipulated and re-imagined these vintage images to create these new paintings. You have likely seen his large scale painting in the St. Regis Deer Valley main bar; now you can meet the artist at JNG on Feb 23, 6-8PM.

Jeff Pugh Exhibition at the Meyer Gallery

Does your child love to doodle and draw? Then this class is for them. Students learn how to bring their illustrated characters to life with Kylie. Learning basic drawing techniques, students learn about drawing motion progression in an easy, accessible way. Students will love learning this new drawing technique, bringing their skills to the next level.

BRASS 101 Avalanche Awareness by BRASS Foundation for Avalanche and Snow Safety
This is an opportunity to learn about avalanche and snow safety and is appropriate for anyone wanting to get out in the snow. Whether you are skiing, snowboarding, hiking, snowshoeing or just playing up on the hillside above your house, avalanche awareness is important for you.  
This course follows the standard avalanche awareness format regulated by the American Avalanche Association and follows the Know Before You Go curriculum. Besides the standard curriculum, BRASS Foundation emphasizes, human factors and decision making and situational awareness. Hearing more and more stories of kids “ducking the rope”, we emphasize the importance of staying in bounds, unless with a certified guide and properly equipped.  
Avalanche Certificates given upon completion!  
Day 1 will be in the classroom starting with a short video showing  exciting skiing and riding footage, followed by a detailed presentation and discussion…
