Little Naturalist is the perfect program for 3 to 5 year olds who are curious about animals, their habitats, the environment, and other aspects of nature. Join us the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, October through May, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. to read a specially selected nature-themed book, play games and participate in activities, and complete a craft. Some favorites include snowshoeing on the preserve, interacting with live reptiles and amphibians, upcycling old materials into holiday decorations, and much more!
December 7: Animals in Winter by Henrietta Bancroft & Someone Walks By: The Wonders of Winter Wildlife by Polly Carson-Vo; Dress warm and join us for a snow shoe adventure to look for signs of wildlife on the preserve!
December 14 (**2nd Monday): When Santa Turned Green by Victoria Perla & Why Christmas Trees Aren’t Perfect by Dick Schneider; Add an ornament to this year’s tree by creating your own using up-cycled materials.
